DODGEN and Yuneng New Materials Sign Agreement for the Devolatilizer System for the Polyolefin Elastomer Unit of the Epoxy Resin Integrated Project (Phase I)
On May 21, 2026, the signing ceremony for the Devolatilizer System of the 100,000 t/a Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) Unit under the Epoxy Resin Integrated Project (Phase I) of Shaanxi Yuneng Energy & Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. was held at DODGEN. Chang Yi, Executive Director and General Manager of Yuneng New Materials, and Tang Xi, Chairman of Shanghai DODGEN Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony. Jiang Haijin and Zhang Wanchun, Deputy General Managers of Yuneng New Materials; Kang Xiaoling, General Manager of DODGEN; Zheng Bochuan, Deputy General Manager of DODGEN; and core members of the project team participated and witnessed this important moment. The signing marks the entry of the cooperation on the Devolatilizer System for Yuneng New Materials’ POE Unit into the substantive implementation stage.
During the remarks session, leaders from the two companies delivered speeches in succession, providing an in-depth interpretation of the strategic value of this cooperation.

Tang Xi, Chairman of Shanghai DODGEN Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.
In his speech, Chairman Tang said that this project is the world’s first full industrial-chain project for producing epoxy resin from coal-based methanol, and that DODGEN is honored to support the high-quality development of Yuneng New Materials with its technologies and capabilities. He noted that China currently attaches great importance to independent innovation and industrialization breakthroughs in advanced chemical new materials, and that the localization of high-end polyolefin materials such as POE is accelerating. He emphasized that DODGEN will uphold its core values of “integrity, professionalism, innovation, and win-win cooperation,” take customized process system technologies and advanced equipment as its core competitiveness, and make every effort to ensure high-quality project implementation.

Chang Yi, Executive Director and General Manager of Shaanxi Yuneng Energy Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd.
In his speech, Chairman Chang noted that, as key core equipment in the POE production process, the Devolatilizer System directly determines product quality, energy-consumption control, and market competitiveness, and is critical to the success of project construction and the benefits after start-up. He highly commended DODGEN’s technical strength and sense of responsibility, and put forward two requirements for advancing the cooperation: first, strictly control design quality, benchmark against industry-leading practices around technical challenges such as melt index, material viscosity, and anti-blockage structural design, and ensure safe, stable, green, and efficient production operations; second, strictly control schedule milestones, establish a “one-team, one-plan” mindset, strengthen two-way coordination, and fully guarantee on-time system delivery and smooth start-up. He said that the signing represents a new starting point for working together, and firmly believes that, relying on the professional strengths and close cooperation of both sides, the project will be brought into operation and generate results at an early date, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the high-end chemical industry.

Project Overview
The Yuneng New Materials Epoxy Resin Integrated Project (Phase I) is located in the Shenmu High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Shaanxi Province. It is the world’s first full industrial-chain project for producing epoxy resin from coal-based methanol. Upon completion, it will have an annual epoxy resin capacity of 250,000 tonnes, accounting for approximately 12% of China’s total demand. The Devolatilizer System for the Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) Unit signed this time has a capacity of 100,000 t/a and is mainly used to remove heptane solvent, ethylene, and other volatile impurities from POE products.

About Yuneng New Materials
Shaanxi Yuneng Energy & Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group. Relying on the existing coal-to-methanol and chlor-alkali industries, the company has opened up a new route for epoxy resin and achieved in-depth integration with traditional chlor-alkali chemicals and coal chemicals through mutual feedstock supply. It is building the world’s first epoxy resin and downstream full industrial-chain project with coal-based methanol as the starting point. The project is a key demonstration project supported and developed by the Yulin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government under the strategy of “coal as the foundation, coal-to-chemicals downstream conversion,” with an emphasis on extending, supplementing, and strengthening industrial chains.
