Chemical Process For Direct Air Carbon Capture

Direct air carbon capture (DAC) is one of the few technologies that can directly remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Direct Air Capture (DAC) is one of the few technologies capable of removing carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere. DAC technology can be visualized as industrial “photosynthesis”; the DAC system captures carbon dioxide on the surface of filters coated with special chemical agents, forming compounds. These new compounds are then heated to release the captured carbon dioxide and separate it from the chemical agents, which can subsequently be recycled.

Technical Applications of Direct Air Carbon Capture(DAC)

Technical Applications of Direct Air Carbon Capture(DAC)

Compared to other carbon dioxide reduction technologies such as afforestation, DAC allows for more efficient carbon dioxide recovery. The application value of DAC holds significant potential in scenarios such as enhanced oil recovery in the petroleum industry, as well as in the manufacturing of synthetic fuels, plastics, methanol, concrete, and other products. Donggeng’s DAC technology is currently in the R&D stage, and we welcome more partners to join us in jointly promoting the rapid development of this field.
